Die Software „Coder Community Edition“ ist eine eigenständige Software von Markus Marchner. Zur Bereitstellung der App, der lokalen Videoverarbeitung, der Desktop-Oberfläche und einzelner Hilfsfunktionen werden Open-Source-Komponenten und Systemkomponenten verwendet.

Die nachfolgenden Hinweise ersetzen keine vollständige juristische Prüfung. Besonders die Lizenzdetails von FFmpeg hängen vom konkret gebündelten Build und den aktivierten Codecs ab.

Wichtige gebündelte Komponenten

Tauri: Lizenz: MIT / Apache-2.0. Tauri wird als Desktop-App-Framework und für die WebView-Integration verwendet.
Rust und Rust-Crates: Die App nutzt Rust sowie zahlreiche transitive Rust-Abhängigkeiten, unter anderem Tauri, Wry, Tao, Serde, Tokio, RFD, URL, HTML5ever, Plist und objc2. Die konkreten Versionen ergeben sich aus der jeweiligen Cargo-Lock-Datei des Builds.
Python: Lizenz: Python Software Foundation License. Python wird für den lokalen Server und Hilfsprozesse verwendet.
PyInstaller: Lizenz: GPL mit spezieller Ausnahme beziehungsweise zusätzliche Lizenzbestandteile je nach Komponente. PyInstaller wird verwendet, um den lokalen Python-Server als macOS-Binary zu bündeln.
FFmpeg und FFprobe: FFmpeg/FFprobe werden für lokale Videoverarbeitung, Rendering, Zusammenführen von Clips und Exportfunktionen genutzt. Der derzeitige Build enthält GPL-relevante Optionen, insbesondere --enable-gpl, --enable-libx264 und --enable-libx265. Dadurch können über die regulären LGPL-Pflichten hinaus GPL-Pflichten ausgelöst werden.
FFmpeg-Bibliotheken: Im App-Bundle können unter anderem libavcodec, libavformat, libavfilter, libavdevice, libavutil, libswscale und libswresample enthalten sein.
x264: Lizenz: GPL. x264 wird im FFmpeg-Kontext für H.264-Encoding genutzt.
x265: Lizenz: GPL. x265 wird im FFmpeg-Kontext für H.265/HEVC-Encoding genutzt.
SVT-AV1, dav1d, libvpx, libopus, libmp3lame und libvmaf: Diese Bibliotheken können über den gebündelten FFmpeg-Build für Video- und Audio-Codecs beziehungsweise Qualitätsmetriken verwendet werden. Die jeweiligen Lizenzbedingungen der Projekte sind zu beachten.
OpenSSL: Lizenz: Apache-2.0 für OpenSSL 3.x. OpenSSL beziehungsweise libssl und libcrypto können als gebündelte Bibliotheken für SSL/TLS-Funktionen enthalten sein.
llama.cpp / llama-server: Lizenz: MIT. llama-server wird für lokale KI-Funktionen verwendet, sofern diese Funktionen in der jeweiligen App-Version verfügbar sind.
WebKit / macOS WebView: WebKit wird als Systemkomponente von macOS zur Darstellung der App-Oberfläche verwendet und nicht als eigenständige Komponente der App mitgeliefert.

“Coder Community Edition” is independent software by Markus Marchner. The app uses open-source components and system components to provide the desktop interface, local video processing, and selected helper functions.

These notices do not replace a complete legal review. FFmpeg license details in particular depend on the exact bundled build and enabled codecs.

Important bundled components

Tauri: License: MIT / Apache-2.0. Tauri is used as the desktop application framework and WebView integration layer.
Rust and Rust crates: The app uses Rust and many transitive Rust dependencies, including Tauri, Wry, Tao, Serde, Tokio, RFD, URL, HTML5ever, Plist, and objc2. Exact versions are defined by the Cargo lock file of the respective build.
Python: License: Python Software Foundation License. Python is used for the local server and helper processes.
PyInstaller: License: GPL with a special exception and additional license parts depending on the component. PyInstaller is used to bundle the local Python server as a macOS binary.
FFmpeg and FFprobe: FFmpeg/FFprobe are used for local video processing, rendering, merging clips, and export functions. The current build includes GPL-relevant options, especially --enable-gpl, --enable-libx264, and --enable-libx265. This can trigger GPL obligations in addition to regular LGPL obligations.
FFmpeg libraries: The app bundle may include libavcodec, libavformat, libavfilter, libavdevice, libavutil, libswscale, and libswresample.
x264: License: GPL. x264 is used in the FFmpeg context for H.264 encoding.
x265: License: GPL. x265 is used in the FFmpeg context for H.265/HEVC encoding.
SVT-AV1, dav1d, libvpx, libopus, libmp3lame, and libvmaf: These libraries may be used through the bundled FFmpeg build for video/audio codecs and quality metrics. The license terms of the respective projects apply.
OpenSSL: License: Apache-2.0 for OpenSSL 3.x. OpenSSL, libssl, and libcrypto may be bundled for SSL/TLS functionality.
llama.cpp / llama-server: License: MIT. llama-server is used for local AI features where such features are available in the respective app version.
WebKit / macOS WebView: WebKit is used as a macOS system component to render the app interface and is not shipped as a standalone app component.
